Innovation
We explore and test new ideas, methods and partnerships for more resilient water systems.
An independent social innovation platform for water resilience.
Water connects us to everything that matters.
Why WaterLab
It connects our communities, economies, ecosystems and futures.
Yet the way we think about water, make decisions and work together remains fragmented.
WaterLab brings new perspectives together and creates space for meaningful collaboration.
Our approach
We explore and test new ideas, methods and partnerships for more resilient water systems.
We bring people and perspectives together to spark dialogue, build trust and create new alliances around water.
We turn shared understanding into concrete initiatives, partnerships and more resilient water systems.
What we do
We work across disciplines, sectors and communities to develop new ways of thinking and acting together around water.
Participatory workshops to explore competing interests, build trust and practice collective decision-making.
Making complex water challenges visible and relevant through evidence, lived experience and compelling narratives.
Connecting water-related risks with economic decisions and exploring how finance can support resilience.
Bringing research, institutions and communities into dialogue to help shape practical, joined-up responses.

Founder
Water Policy · Diplomacy · Sustainable Finance
For over a decade, I have worked across international water policy, diplomacy and sustainable finance — from transboundary water cooperation and global climate negotiations to corporate water risks and nature-related financial risks.
My work has taken me from water cooperation in the Middle East and governance challenges in the Nile Basin to investment water risks in South Africa and nature-related financial risks in Europe.
I founded WaterLab to bring these perspectives together — connecting research, systems thinking and people across sectors to turn shared understanding into collective action.
“Water is more than a resource to manage. It connects economies, ecosystems and communities — and offers a starting point for rethinking how we work together.”
